September verstößt nach Ansicht des obersten amerikanischen Gerichts nicht gegen die US-Verfassung. Kritik kommt von Bürgerrechtsorganisationen: Kate Martin, director of the Center for National Security Studies, said in an interview Monday that the issues in the case remained important despite the release of most of those who had been arrested. Ms. Martin said the appeals court had given its blessing to "a secrecy regime in which arrests are off the public docket, people are held in secret, deported in secret, and two and a half years later, we still don't know the names."
