--- Die New York Times lässt sich mal wieder von Regierungsquellen füttern und stößt dabei mit Hilfe des Terrorist Explosive Device Analytical Center (TEDAC) auf ein angebliches weltweites Bombenproduktionsnetzwerk von und für al Qaeda. Dem Institut zufolge, das auf Initiative des FBI gegründet wurde, sind Auto-Bomben aus Terroranschlägen in Afrika, im Nahen Osten und in Asien häufig nach demselben Strickmuster hergestellt. Nichts Genaues über die Bombenbauer haben die Untersuchungen allerdings bisher ergeben: While there is still debate about who is behind the bombings in Iraq, and none of the larger and most deadly attacks by suicide bombers have been solved, intelligence analysts said that they believed followers of Al Qaeda or ideologically sympathetic allies may be involved in some of the bombings. But the examination of bombs used in Iraq has so far yielded little information about the identity of who made them. Many bombs of different types explode every day in the country.
